Ingredients
- Flour: gluten free flour. If you are going to use pumpkin spice crumbs in a gluten-free dessert, use gluten-free flour. All-purpose flour will also work for this recipe. Check Bob’s Red Mill flour.
- Sugar: Brown sugar. I used light brown sugar.
- Butter: Unsalted butter. You can also use salted butter for this recipe.
- Spice: Pumpkin pie spice powder. To make homemade pumpkin pie spice, add 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
- Salt: Pinch of salt for taste.

How to Make This Recipe
Preheat oven to 300°F (150 °C). Line the baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat. Melt unsalted butter and set aside. In the mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and pumpkin spice powder. Add melted butter and mix with the fork or spatula until clumps form. Transfer the mixture of pumpkin spice crumbs to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Baked crumbs should be light brown. Let crumbs cool completely before using them for desserts.

Recipe FAQs
Store Crumbs in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Do not store in the refrigerator as crumbs may become moist.
Use to decorate macarons, cupcakes, or cookies. It will be great for Cheesecake in a jar, too.
