- 1 cup chocolate melts
How to Make This Recipe
Wash strawberries and fully wipe them. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or waxed paper. Melt chocolate using the double boiler method. Put chocolate into a heatproof bowl. Do not use a plastic bowl! Fill a medium saucepan with a couple of inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn the heat to low and place the bowl with chocolate over the water to melt. Mix the chocolate as it softens until completely melted.
Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip it into the chocolate, letting any excess chocolate fall back into the bowl. Place strawberries on the parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the strawberries. After that, decorate strawberries with different colors of chocolate or sprinkle with nuts.
Tip from Marina: I like to use bamboo skewers to hold strawberries for dipping. I place them into a tall jar or onto a foam block for the chocolate to set. This way, strawberries look beautiful from any side.
Optional Toppings for Strawberries
- Melted chocolate (dark, milk, ruby, white).

- Edible gold.
Expert Tips
- Use chocolate melts, not chocolate chips.
- You can also use tempered chocolate.
- Pick big and tasty strawberries from the store.
- Wash and dry strawberries before dipping; this will ensure the chocolate sticks well to the berry.
