How to make Chocolate Brownie Hearts
Ingredients you’ll need
- unsalted butter. Salted butter will also work for this recipe.
- dark chocolate
- eggs room temperature
- granulated white sugar
- all-purpose flour
- pinch of salt
In a small saucepan over lover heat, melt unsalted butter and chocolate. You can also use microwave. Set aside to cool for 10-15min.
Whisk together eggs with sugar for 3-4 min with hand mixer.
Sift all-purpose flour and pinch of salt.
Add the sifted ingredients to the egg mixture.
Fold with spatula until all combine.
Add melted chocolate with butter and mix again.
Fill prepared Silpat 28 Hole Mini Heart Tray.
Tip from Marina: I like to use pipping bag. You can also use two spoons and fill baking tray.
From this recipe I baked two full Silpat trays. That’s 56 hearts. While you bake one tray leave remaining batter in the pipping bag or bowl in the room temperature. Do not put into fridge!
Bake at 325F for 12-14 min or a toothpick inserted into the center will come out dry.
Let baking tray to cool and remove hearts to parchment paper.
How to decorate
Melt your favorite chocolate or chocolate melts and drizzle over hearts. I used Valrhona Strawberry Inspiration chocolate and heart sprinkles.
Tip from Marina: If you need to melt small amount of chocolate, you can melt in the pipping bag. Simply fill pipping bag with chocolate and melt in the hot water or microwave.
