Instructions
How to Make Mushroom Cookies
In a large bowl, beat unsalted butter at room temperature.
Add powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla extract and egg, and beat again for a minute.
Add cornstarch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Beat again until all combine.
Wrap the dough into plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 20- 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350
o
F. Prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
Roll small balls from the dough with your hands and put them on the parchment paper.
Dip the tip of an empty plastic bottle in cocoa powder and press the rim of the bottle into each dough ball, making a stem.
Bake at 350
o
F for 15-20 minutes.
Transfer cookies to the wire rock to cool.
Sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar as desired.
